It's late

Tue Sep 25, 2007, 8:18 AM
That it is. But I'm elated: 'tis back to work here, I'm on a study break, I've renewed my subscription with the intent to get full use out of it, my scanner is working again and I have a new computer to top it off.
I have named it the Bismarck.
I am not worthy.

... I've got a lot of work to do here, and uni will keep me busy still but drop us a line if you feel like it, folks.

Hmm...

'Lo folks, 'tis that rare old time I log onto DevArt, peruse the new stuff from my friends and upload a piece or two before disappearing for another three months or so. I really have to log on more frequently; it's more time than I have to check all the new artwork. Oh well, the I become organised is the day Chernzobog organises her literature and oranges will "grow wings and fly".
That said, a merry day to you, folks. My thanks, as ever, for your comments and the stuff you put up.

Devious Journal Entry

Dear Diary

Ah, hello everyone, hope you're all well. Just a couple of things...
1) I have a newfound respect for you photographers. At least around here, it's surprisingly hard to get a decent photo, which is why I may be reduced to setting my coconut on fire later tonight. It'll make a good picture, at least (so long as I don't screw up and set the house on fire... which would also be an awesome picture).
2) I'm back with a vengeance! I'm discovering the joys of traditional art yet again, including oil pastels. Thanks go largely to Carmen McFaul (A local artist, and quite astounding) of whom we have an inspirational piece hanging up in our family room.
I just hope this newfound burst of activity doesn't flounder off like some of the others... therefor I encourage physical violence against my person if I appear to be slacking. Of course, you may not be able to find me, but you can always send me a particularly nasty virus.

So here's to you, my good friends! Your own abilities and passion are what ultimately give me inspiration and fuel me on.

It lives! IT LIVES!!!

Hello everyone! Am back.
Well well, got a lot to catch up on, ideas to chase up, but here's the run-down:
Went through a job-switch period, and instead of taking a couple of weeks off between jobs I worked both at once for 3-4 weeks. Both are understaffed so that made something like a 70+ hour week. Too busy then to draw, so I'm sure you'll understand.
When overworked, I relax by, quote some of the characters I run into online, 'pwning sum nubs (lolz)', or by receiving said 'pwnage', in Halo/Achaea. Hence I was also a lazy mofo. Halo is worth it, though.
Then just last night WHAM! Bloody muse shows up and I pull this last piece from the deep and slightly malfunctioning recesses of my rectum. Now I intend to continue producing some things for a while yet, but I'll also be working on another hobby of mine - Warcraft III maps *wargasm* - and I'd love to show you those, but I'm not sure I can put them up on deviantart. Or under what category.
Now I must catch up with all you lovely folks and see what I've missed out on in my absence. Tata!

What the deuce...

All good, keeping work up, good art keeps coming in, and tea remains tasty. Even better yet, I have a bowl of home-made hommus in my fridge. Some important notes:
1) The healing qualities of real hommus are surpassed only by the tears of the phoenix, or Chuck Norris.
2) It's vegan, so ANYONE can eat it. Not only can you eat it, but you can live by eating hommus alone. And after tasting it, not only can you live of it by itself, you will want to live off it by itself.
3) On the seventh day, god rested. Deciding to make a meal that would both satisfy his hunger after creating the cosmos, life, and intelligence, and would be worthy of being enjoyed by the divinity of the universe. Thus god made hommus.
4) A bowl of good home-made hommus is:
- a can/tin's worth of chick peas.
- 1/3 jar tahini
- several sprigs of fresh parsley
- minced fresh garlic
- 2-3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 2-3 teaspoons cummin
- 1-2 teaspoons paprika
- and a twist of lemon.

How to grace the world with a bowl of hommus:
- put a sieve over a small bowl, emptying the tin of chick peas into the sieve but catching the pea-water in the bowl beneath. Set aside for later, and put the chickpeas into another, larger bowl.
- add in all the ingredients, asides from the water (just yet). Blend vigorously, adding chick pea water when required to quicken mixture. Continue adding until desired consistency is achieved.
-Eat.
-Make more hommus. This is worse than a crack addiction, but much healthier.

And that's all there is to making hommus. 10 to 15 minutes' work, no cooking, just a whole heap of blending and the SHAZZAM! - instant god-mush.
Delicious.

Oh, yes, that's right. I was going to talk about the comics.
... meh.
